Annual Appeal 2020

Dear Friends of Historic Fair Hill,

This year has been hard for all of us and especially hard for our neighbors in Fairhill. For their protection, many children have hardly been outside in seven months.

Our partner public schools have been closed since March, with children trying to learn online with laptops issued by the school and the Internet new to many families.  Our bilingual Parent Literacy Assistants are supporting students and teachers and coaching parents to get their children online. HFH acquires and distributes new and gently used books to families in a variety of ways.

This year, we expanded the gardens with a strong team of young adult neighbors who wanted to get outside and grow their own food. The abundant gardens have produced over 1200 pounds of fresh produce for neighbors at the weekly farm stand/book table.

The historic burial ground is open every Saturday for visitors to enjoy the peaceful green space.  Come visit.  www.historicfairhill.com.

Your annual gift supports our work in the Fairhill public schools and productive, peaceful gardens — and makes life better in this difficult time. If you have already sent your gift, thank you.

We are grateful for your support this year and look forward to 2021.

Jean, Sally, Jean, Anthony, our board, our staff, and our neighbors
