Kerry Roeder, new HFH Program Manager, and her team have been able to share library books with teachers and have found creative ways to continue to share stories, such as providing e-books.
She has also distributed to five partner schools a subscription to Virtual Village Word play, a dynamic, encouraging, fun series of pre recorded books that are culturally relevant to Fairhill students.
With HFH school libraries closed, HFH has made up small mobile libraries and taken them to 5 Learning pods and access centers at Crossroads, Ekklesia, Lighthouse, Taller Puertoriqueno, Norris Square ACCESS center. The books will be switched out every few weeks.
