MLK Day of Service
Historic Fair Hill 2901 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesOn Monday, January 18, friends gather at 10am at the historic site with masks and social distance to pick up trash on surrounding streets. At 12:30pm, we gather at the fire and read aloud quotes from Dr. King’s letters and sermons. Trustee Dwayne Grannum will lead us in song with masks and safety protocol.

Watering, weeding, planting. Neighbor kids come to play under the trees, run through the sprinkler, and get to be kids on a summer’s day.

Fresh organic produce from the HFH gardens is harvested by Fairhill young farmers and taken to the Cambria St. Food Pantry of St. John’s Memorial Church. Neighbors pick up their groceries and then look over the day’s fresh harvest.
