Fairhill school students grades 4th-8th are working on their essays about Harriet Forten Purvis

leader of abolition and early women’s rightist movement, buried at Fairhill Burial Ground.

Come hear the winning essays and see a new production about Harriet Purvis by Beacon Theater productions.

Saturday, March 9, 1pm at St. Johns Memorial Baptist Church 2835 Germantown Ave.

(formerly the Fairhill Friends Meetinghouse)

Reception and visit to Harriet Purvis grave site to follow.
