Highlighting New Staff

Historic Fair Hill recently welcomed three new staff members to our team! See what unique perspectives and skills they bring to the important work we do together.

Tyshia Ingram, Library Coordinator

Tyshia is a writer, educator, and advocate based in Philadelphia, PA. She is the founder of Liberated Young, an education initiative creating culturally affirming learning products that celebrate and empower Black children and families. Guided by the belief that it takes a village to raise a child, she designs tools and experiences that equip that village to raise confident children with joy and imagination. Her work has been featured in Successful Black Parenting, Business Insider, Vox, Motherly, and her products can be found in bookstores, museum gift shops, and Black-centered learning spaces across the country. Over the years, Tyshia’s love for literacy and inspiring children in her community has connected her with many wonderful people and organizations, including leading her to Historic Fair Hill. Now, in addition to her many hats, she works as a Library Coordinator helping children discover, explore, and enjoy books at the very same public school her father attended when he was a child!

Isa Pickett, Program Assistant

Having initially served as a Quaker Voluntary Service fellow at Historic Fair Hill in 2021-2022, Isa now returns to work as a program assistant supporting the work of the libraries, gardens, and classroom assistants! In the years since being a QVS fellow, Isa worked as an educator at Germantown Friends School and started her Master’s of Divinity at Earlham School of Religion where she will graduate in May 2027. When she is not at Historic Fair Hill, she is a chaplain at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Mason Webb, Youth Gardener

Mason is a new Youth Gardener at Historic Fair Hill, but he is not new to Historic Fair Hill! Mason was a youth intern for 4 years before he started working as an employee. He enjoys many things: music, sports, sleeping, and cooking. He is very active and always jumps at the opportunity to do sports or anything physical. He is both energetic and outgoing, and has been told he’s a pretty fun guy. Throughout his years at Historic Fair Hill, he’s learned and experienced many new things. Mason has always enjoyed being at Historic Fair Hill and is grateful for the grounds and to get to garden here!
