We at Historic Fair Hill grieve the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery and recognize that they represent many other lives taken and suppressed by structural racism, injustice, and inequality. We support the Black Lives Matter movement that is calling us to recognize the depth of inequality in our education, economic, health, and justice systems that causes so much suffering in our country, our city and our neighborhood.
Every day we see children whose futures may be determined by their zip code. As we support our neighborhood public schools, create community gardens, and maintain a peaceful green space, we will strive to be anti-racist and work for more justice and equality in our city.
